Mrs. Donna Hancock
My name is Donna J. Hancock. I am a licensed school counselor and have served in the educational field for 26 years, with most of my experience being with Gaston County Schools in North Carolina. This is my fourth year with York District One, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share and help students reach their highest potential.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.
My husband and I have three amazing children; our wonderful daughter is also an educator in the district. Our greatest joy is our two precious granddaughters. I absolutely love spending time with my family.
It is my goal to help students see beyond their present circumstances and work diligently and consistently to become better versions of themselves, while helping them know that they are valuable and that there is a purpose for their lives.
