Mr. Rob Farris, Coordinator/Principal

Welcome to York One Academy!  I am proud to serve as Coordinator/Principal for the 2024-2025 school year.  We have a great staff here at York One Academy that is committed to excellence in education.  We are honored to be able to work with our students each and every day. 

I am a lifelong resident York School District One. I graduated from The University of South Carolina - Columbia.  This is my 17th year in public education and grateful that my entire years served are right here at York School District One!  I taught Business/Marketing at York Junior High School, York Middle School and Floyd D Johnson Technology Center for 14 years.  This is my third year here at York One Academy.  I look forward to this being a great year for our students!  Go Cougars and Go Gamecocks!

Ms. Elisa Thompson, Assistant Coordinator/Assistant Principal

I am ecstatic to complete my 30^th year in education at York One Academy.  This is my 16^th year as an assistant principal in York School District One.  I graduated from Winthrop University with my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina, and an Ed.S degree in Educational Leadership from South Carolina State University.

I reside in Rock Hill, SC with my husband, Kevin, our 2 children and fur baby, Lacey.  My son is a sophomore at Coastal Carolina University and my daughter is a junior at South Pointe High School.     

I am excited to be a part of the York One Academy and eager to work with you and your child.  Together, we will succeed!
